Even though poets and other literary blokes have made derogatory remarks about Women,

Frailty, thy name is Woman ( Shakespeare )

The Exemplary Wife !

The Sastras define the Wife as

Karyeshu Dasi Karaneshu Mantri
Roopeshu Lakshmi  Kshamaya Dharithri
Sneheshu Matha Sayaneshu Rambha,
Sat Karma Naree Kula Dharma Patni !

As beauteous as Lakshmi Herself,
And as patient as Mother Earth,
Motherly in love and affection
And as the ravishing Rambha in bed !
