The Rose of Rome, not of Paradise / The White Rose, which our Tuscan Poet saw/ WIth the saints as petals / In Paradise mighty / And when the Rose was perfect / Its hundred thousand petals were not saints/ But Senators in their Thessalian caps / And all the roaring populace of Rome!

Kalidasa and Tagore were mundane poets. That is they preferred the mundane over the supramundane. ! But the majority differed saying that all positive qualities are heavenly – Knowledge, Wisdom and Understanding et al and all demonaic qualities – lust, greed, anger et al earthly !
