One of the criticisms of the Eternians is that they worship 33 crore deities. Let us understand who are the 33 crore deities. Also they are Sun and Snake Worshippers. Also Polytheists.
The Sun which they worship is not the outer Sun, but the Inner Sun, the SE:LF, the Divine Solar Consciousness, which is immanent everywhere, Ya Sthitha Vyapya Vishwam !
The Snake which they worship is not the outer snake, but the inner Serpentine Power, which is coiled in mortals. By the warmth of the Solar Fire in Matter, accentuated by Meditation, She, the Kundalitha Shakti iti Kundalini, the microcosmic component of the Macrocosmic Shakti,. rises from the Root Chakra and reaches the Eyebrow Mind Chakra and then Crown Chakra and there unites with her lord, and enjoys Eternal Bliss, Sahasrare Padme saha rahasi patya viharase !
I am a brother, a son, a husband & a father. I have many aspects. So too the Divine has many aspects. It is One Person having many aspects. There are no 33 crore deities.
Word is Vag. Infinite is the power of Speech. One Professor was describing the incredible power of speech - we say silver tongued oratory from Kalidasa like poets, asthi kaschit vagvilasa -when one guy contradicted him. One man got up and said that he is not speaking the Truth.
The Professor said " Sit down, you idiot, you brainless fool". The guy got angry and he dwelt on the parentage of of the Professor. He was candid about the Professor's ancestry !
Then the Professor smiled and said " You were vicious and furious when I called you an idiot. You just proved this theory right."
The Vag Devatha, the Deity of Poetry and Music, rules Poetry and all arts. Hence this Vag Suktam is recited by those who yearn for poetic ability, Vag Devata Siddhaye
The thinking ablity is also included in Vag. May the Mighty Mother, Saraswati , give us the boons of Poetry and Prose, Nritham Adanam Saraswathee !.
Aham Rudrebhir vasubhir charami,
Aham aadhithyer uta vaisvadevaii,
Aham mithra varunobha bibharmi,
Aham indragni, aham ashvinobha.
Destroyers Eleven, Vasus Eight,
Celestial Physicians Two,
The Sun in Zodiacal Signs Twelve,
Are the Eternal Principles, Thirty Three
I walk with the Eleven and Eight
Including the mighty Sol,
And the seven principles
Mitra and Varuna always on my side
And the Fire of Indra
Close am I with Aswini Kumars
Aham somam ahaanasam bhibhrami
Aham thwashtaaramr utha pooshanam bhagam,
Aham dadhami dravinam havishmathe,
Supravye yajamanya sunwathe.
Soma, the Blissful Elixir,
I hold in absolute reverence
Famous Serpents I adore,
To those who reach celestials
Wit h Homas galore
I bestow wealth on them
As a good will gesture !
Aham rashtri samgamani vasoonaam,
Chikithushee pradhamaa yagniyaanaam,
Thaam maa devaa vyadhaduha puruthra,
Bhuristhathram bhooyar visayanthim.
Imparter of wealth to the nation,
This sacrifice addreses me first !
Geniuses understand my versatilty,
And try to capitalise on that !
Mayaa so annamathi
yo vipasyathi,Ya pranithi
y aim shrunothi yuktham,
amaanathvo maam tha upa kshiyanthi,
Shrudhi shruthi shraddivam they vadami
Whoch impells men to eat pure food,
Making them hear what I am postulating,
That Power I am, They perish who believe not,
Hear carefully, as Truth is on my side !
Aham yeva swayam idham vadhami,
Jushtam devebhir utha manushebhi,
Yam kaamaye tham tham ugram krunomi,
Tham brahmanam tham rishim tham sumedham,
Listen O NOble Ones,
O humans and celestials
Mighty becomes the man I love,
Like Brahman, a Rishi complete, with brain analytic.
I am myself telling this,
Which man and gods should try to understand,
“The one whom I love, I make him mighty,
I Make him Brahman, I make him the sage, and I make him wise.”
Aham rudhraya dhanura thanomi,
Brahmadwishe sharave hanthava vu,
Aham janaaya samadham krunomi,
Aham dhyayaprithwi aa vivesha.
I stretch the bow to Rudra,
So that he who hates Brahmam is hurt by the arrow,
I bestow equality on people at war,
I am throughout the heaven and earth.
Aham suvepitharamasya moordhan,
Mama yonir apswatha samudhre,
Thatho vi thishte bhuvananu vishwotha,
Amum dhyam varshamanopam vishva utha.
I brought about the progenitor in to earth,
I sprang from the water of the ocean,
And from there I spread throughout the universe,
I touch that heaven with a flowering body.
Ahameva vatham yiva vatha yiva pravami,
Arambhamana bhuvanani viswam,
Paro dhiva para yena prithwya,
Yaithavathi mahinaa sam bhabhoova.
I blow like the fierce winds,
Which commences from the universe,
Which extends far beyond heaven and far below the earth,
And I have become very gross because of this.
