Shweitzer criticised Upanishads as Agnostic Pantheism. Maybe he did not have the complete definitions of both.

Pantheism upholds His Immanence at the expense of His Transcendence. According to Indian Philosophy, there is no expense of, He is triune with Immanence, Transcendence and Cosmicity.

Agnosticism maintains that Reality is Unknown. But the Unknown is not the Unknowable. Its most powerful element is the Agnosticism, which while admitting the Unknowable behind all manifestations, extends the limits of the Unknowable till it comprhends all that is merely Unknown !
