Ordinary Yogas in Natal Astrology

                                                                                                           

There are more than six hundred thousand Yogas or combinations in Astrologia Vedica.  Here we give some verses dealing with Ordinary Yogas.

 

If the lord of a House

Be with that House's lord

Fortified the House becomes

Such is Astrology's decree !

 

If Jupiter be in Eighth

Or be lord of 3, 6 or 8

Native gets wealth incomparable

Along with Fame immortal !

 

The Houses tenanted by Saturn

And aspected by him

Are malefic by nature

Such is Astrology's decree !

 

But if Saturn  aspects

Ninth House and Third

Weak the House becomes not

Such is Astrology's decree !

 

If Moon be weak in digit strength

And tenants Ascendant

Native will be dependent on others

If Moon be powerful in digit strength

And tenants Lagna

Will be rich and respected !

 

If Mars and the Moon be

In the Eighth or in Lagna

Fortunate native becomes

Such is Astrology's decree !

 

If the planet of Realty

Mars be with Fourth Lord

Native will have many houses

Thus say the wise !

 

If the planet of Wealth, Jupiter

Be with the lord of Fourth

In the Fourth, native possesses

A huge mansion and vehicles !

 

If any benefic planet be

Hemmed in between malefics

Incapable he  becomes

To do anything good !

 

If the lords of Eleven and Twelve

Be posited together

Or aspect mutually

They confer auspicious results !

 

If the Lord of Lagna be

In the dangerous Twelfth

Or in malefic Third

He can confer results good !

 

If the Lord of Ninth be

In the malefic Eighth

Unfortunate the native becomes

Irrespective of Ascendant !

 

If the Queen of Solar Logos,
The Moon be in the Sixth

Can confer intelligence, dexterity

And industriousness, if in Third !
