Introduction to NAM
Western culture is currently experiencing a phenomenal, sociological, ideological, spiritual shift due to NAM ( New Age Movement ) which is
both a social and spiritual movement. It is a great synthesis of Eastern mystical philosophies like Taoism, Buddhism, Hinduism & Western
Occultism, adapted to and influenced by Western materialistic culture.
Amongst the Western philosophers influenced by NAM were Emanuel Swedenborg (1688-1772), transcendentalists like Thoreau, Emerson,
