Why Medical Science Isn't Good Enough

Some months ago, Joe bought himself a mobile phone protection device – let's call it the 'Crystal Magic'. The advertisement for the CM said, 'Approved by XX Research Laboratories' – so it looked 'scientific'. As it happens, 'XX' are very reputable and have an ethical standard that the pharmaceutical industry might consider somewhat naive. Unfortunately, ethics notwithstanding, Crystal Magic isn't half as good as anyone with a mobile phone might like to believe...

The device was examined by 'XX' in terms of how much it protects the mobile phone user's blood cells against the harmful effects of mobile phone emissions. Since the results were positive, there is now scientific evidence that CM is a good thing for mobile phone users. Now, as it happens, Crystal Magic is a good thing – but not half as much as its optimistic purchaser may wish to believe.

When you have a mobile phone – any mobile phone – inside your energy field, lesions start appearing in your 6th (frontal lobes), 4th (heart) and 2nd (sexual) chakras. The exact locations of these lesions vary according to the make of phone and your personal levels of resistance. However, the Crystal Magic does, indeed, provide good protection for the lower right side of the 4th chakra, which it helps ground out received mobile phone stress far more efficiently than is usual. For the rest of the 4th chakra, and the 2nd and 6th chakras, it makes no difference at all.

The positive results from the lab study reflect the CM's effect on the 4th chakra – because the 4th chakra controls the body's immune and circulatory systems. However, it doesn't have anything to do with the nervous system (6th and 7th chakras) or the reproductive system (2nd chakra) which continue to be attacked by mobile phone emissions.

When manufacturers of any kind of product refer to it as being backed by 'science,' take it with a pinch of salt. For example, according to Richard Smith, editor of the British Medical Journal, the public is being regularly deceived by the drug trials funded by pharmaceutical companies, loaded to generate the results they need, (the Guardian, January 14, 2004). In fact, it's estimated that 99% of the studies that a doctor depends on to prescribe treatments, are fundamentally flawed.

But it isn't just a question of designing an experiment so it will make a product look good – the real problem is with the scientific method itself. When an experiment is performed, it focuses on a limited number of variables – like the blood test for the Crystal Magic. But this doesn't reflect reality. Your body is a complete system of inter-connected mechanisms – heart, lungs, toes, etc. Thus, if you can't perceive your body as a whole, when it's being affected by something – like a drug or a mobile phone protection device – you can't really tell what's going on. It may look fine in one respect – even as it's being seriously damaged in all kinds of others.

A good example of this was occurring back in the '70's, '80's and '90's when the media was saying, "Eat margarine and other polyunsaturates to protect your heart". Meanwhile, anyone studying the science knew that the more polyunstaurates you eat, the more you risk developing a variety of cancers, due to the build-up of free-radicals... Nowadays, everyone's talking about taking antioxidants to protect against free radicals – but, according to last month's Fortune magazine, the overall cancer rate has, in the meantime, increased by 73% while the overall effectiveness of drug treatments hasn't improved since the '50s.

Medical science is useful as a source of ideas for what might be good to do. But as a sole basis for making decisions, it doesn't cut it. No matter whether you are in the market for mobile phone protection devices or treatments for serious diseases, you need to develop your awareness of what really works for you. This is why we are currently giving the Healing Energy Awareness Training in the UK and, later this year, will start taking it around the world. In spite of all the claims – 'scientific' or otherwise – there is no instrument, of any kind, that can compete with your own body's potential energy awareness.

Meanwhile, watch out for those mobile phone protection gadgets – we've yet to see one that really works. The best protection, for now, is to minimise your talk time – and to prefer fixed line phones whenever possible.
