He combines both Macrocosm and Microcosm. He is the Lord who can remove all impediments and hence all Hindu poetic verses start with a verse in praise of Him !<\/p>\n<p>Mythologically He is the son of <em>Shiva<\/em> and <em>Parvathi<\/em>, the Father and Mother of all that is.  <\/p>\n<p>All occult power He bestoweth<br \/>All obstacles He removes <br \/>He is the Celestial Deity<br \/>I bow to that Mighty One !<\/p>\n<p>He is worshipped on the Fourth Lunation, on <em>Ganesh Chathurthi. <\/em>. People in North India follow Ganapatya or the worship of this Deity. There are five more Tantric schools, <em>Saura<\/em> ( worship of Sun),<em> Vaishnava<\/em> ( worship of Vishnu ), <em>Saiva<\/em> ( worship of Sive ), <em>Shaktheya<\/em> ( worship of Shakti ) &#038; <em>Kaumara<\/em>, ( the worship of Subramanya ). <\/p>\n<p>With body huge<br \/>Shining like gold<br \/>To The Wisest One<br \/>My obeisances !<\/p>\n<p>His face like the baby Moon<br \/>On antelope&#8217;s black skin He sits<br \/>Three threads run across His body<br \/>To Him my obeisances !<\/p>\n<p>The lord of the Cosmos entire<br \/>He can assume any Form <br \/>The Form the devotee wishes<br \/>To Him my obeisances !<\/p>\n<p>All Knower of verities philosophic <br \/>He went around His Father and Mother <br \/>He circled Consciousness and Force<br \/>To Him my obeisances !<\/p>\n<p>According to Mythology, both He and his brother, Muruga were told to circle the Universe. Muruga set out on His vehicle, the peacock, but Ganesh just circled His mother, Parvathi and father, Shiva !
