There are 400 K verses in Mythology, 400 K verses of Siddhanta, Samhita & Hora and millions on other subjects also. In Indan Astronomy, while calculating the Sheeghra Anomaly based on the Geometrical Model of Parameswara, the following verse is given by Puliyoor<\/p>\n

\nDeduct Sun\u2019s Longitude
\nFrom Ecliptic Degree.<\/p>\n

Sheeghra Anomaly = Ecliptic longitude of planet – Longitude of the Mean Sun.<\/p>\n

x, Sheeghra Phalam is the angle formed between the Sun, the planet and the Earth. It is computed as per the formula.<\/p>\n

Tan A\/2 – x = ( b – a) \/( b + a) Tan A\/2<\/p>\n

”where A is the Sheeghra Kendra, a is the Ravi Manda Karna ( Sun’s distance ), b the Graha Manda Karna ( distance of the planet from the Sun ) and x the Sheeghra Phalam \u201c<\/p>\n

Chandra\u00a0 Sphuta Siddhanta<\/p>\n

The Moon, in his journey of the Zodiac, through the 27 constellations, creates the 27 Nakshatras,\u00a0 which have been defined as the Lunar Mansions of Hindu Astronomy, each one of them occupying 13 degrees 20 minutes of the Zodiac.<\/p>\n

Chandra Siddhanta, Lunar Theory<\/p>\n

This is the Equation given for the Moon\u2019s largest perturbation. The Moon seems to be carried away by the immense gravitational pull of the Sun, causing its Ecliptic longitude to vary as much as\u00a0 1.3 degrees. This has been referred to as the third major angle, Kendra,\u00a0 between Sthithi & Mandoccha in Ganitha Nirnaya and as the second Anomaly in Greek Astronomy, anomaly being the angle between position and perihelion.<\/p>\n
