\n<\/a>Is Politics a Science ? Yes, it is, it is the Science of the State. In India, it
\nis not Politics which is ruling, it is Poly Tricks, as the nation is held to
\nransom by politricians !<\/p>\n

According to Western Philosophy, it is the
\nseventh science.<\/p>\n

In the Indian, it is closely related to Kaulilya’s Artha
\nSastra, the 8th Science of Indian Philosophy !<\/p>\n

These are the seven
\nsciences which constitute Western Philosophy.<\/p>\n

Ontology – The Science of
\nBeing
Epistemology – The Science of Knowledge
Axiology – The Science of
\nValue
Aesthetics – The Science of Beauty
Ethics – The Science of
\nCharacter
Logic – The Science of the regulative principles of
\nThought
Politics – the Science of the State.<\/p>\n

The divine principle ” Do
\nharm to none ( Ahimsa Paramo Dharma ) ” is a noble virtue indeed. But this is a
\nspiritual principle and cannot be brought to the mundane plane. If you implement
\nthis principle in the state, crime and lawlessness will prevail. Machiavelli in
\n“The Prince” talks about two Dukes. One Duke was kind and hence lawless raised
\nits ugly head in his kingdom. The other one was cruel, but there was perfect
\ndiscipline in his kingdom. So Machiavelli says’ About Cruelty and Clemency –
\nWhether it is better to be loved or feared , to be feared is better | ! He even
\nwent to the extent of saying that killing is a legitimate instrument of state
\npolicy !<\/p>\n

Aurobindo was realistic. He said Love can only win in the end,
\nafter a titanic clash ” The Law of Vishnu ( Love ) cannot prevail, until debts
\nto Rudra ( war ) are paid” !<\/b>
