Bharatha Natyam – – Ardha Nareeswara Ashtakam <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ardha Nareeswara concept relates to the male component in Man, the
intellect and the female component, Intuition. Like Dante’s heirophantess,
Beatrice, there are types “eternally feminine’, as Goethe divined, to lead
the male intellect on and on !


The Rishies symbolised these two concepts, as a half male, half female
being, Ardha Nareeswara !<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ambhodhara syamala kunthalayai,
Thathithprabha thamra jatadharaya,
Gireeswarayai nikhileswaraya,
Nama Shivayai cha namashivaya.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My salutations to both Purusha and Prakriti<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To Her, whose hairs resemble swollen cloud<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To Him, whose hair is like lightning<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To Her, who is the Queen of mountain<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And to Him, who is Lord of Logos !<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
