If you want to have a certain standard of living in the future
you should start saving money now. It is the only way you can
prepare for things like purchasing a new home, putting you
child through college, or getting a car. Saving money can mean
something as simple as avoiding giving in to temptation or
depositing a portion of your regular paycheck into savings.
Begin at Home
Think about saving money as a way of life and encourage all
your family members to participate. This will make your efforts
more successful.
Small Efforts
You don't need to use the car to get from a to b. You can take
the bus; you can walk or even ride a bike. Walking or biking
are both good forms of exercise. Carpool with neighbors and
friends and do activities like grocery shopping together.
It is fine to go out and spend once in awhile on something to
reward yourself but try not to make it a habit.
Save Energy by using less

Phone-Do your research, make sure your phone provider is the
best savings for long distance
Gas- Keep your car in good condition and save on gas. Sign up
for membership at local stations. Fill the tank when you find
low prices. If you can, get a car with high fuel efficiency
ratings. Instead of the air conditioning, open the window.
If you stop wasting resources you won't just be saving for your
future but you will be doing something about the current energy
crisis.
