I salute Thee  entire !
Lord of the Universe
Wearer of the Crescent
Wearer of hair uncombed
And fair as camphor !

Visweswaraya narakarnava tharanaya,
Karnamruthaya Sasi shekara dharanaya,
Karpoorakanthi dhavalaya jada dharaya,
Daridrya Dukha dahanaya Nama Shivaya.

        Pratishtitam to Preme Pratishtitam and PrAjnanam Brahma to Premam

Gangadharaya Gaja raja Vimardhanaya,
Daridrya Dukha dahanaya Nama Shivaya.
 
Who is the darling of His devotees
Who is the Universal Doctor
Fearsome, the Saviour, the Redeemer,
Destroyer of Samsar,
Light Personified
To that burner of poverty
I bow !

Baktha priyaya bhava roga bhayapahaya,
Ugraya durgabhava sagara tharanaya,
Jyothirmayaya guna Nama nruthyakaya,
Daridrya Dukha dahanaya Nama Shivaya. 
 
Who has a Third Eye
The Eye of Wisdom, Intuition
Applier of holy ash
Wearer of ear studs of stones precious
Wearer of leg bangles
With uncombed and uncut hair
To that burner of poverty
I bow !

Charmambaraya sava basma vilepanaya,
Phalekshanaya mani kundala mandithaya,
Manjeera pasa yugalaya jada dharaya,
Daridrya Dukha dahanaya Nama Shivaya.

Wearer of serpents as ornaments
Wearer of clothes golden
Who is the Jewel in the Crown
In all worlds triune !
Giver of boons, House of Bliss,
To that burner of poverty
I bow !

Panchananaya saranagatha kalpakaya,
Sarvaya sarvajagatam adhipaya thasmai,
Daridrya Dukha dahanaya Nama Shivaya

 
The Sun admires Thee
Thou makest  us cross Samsar
Destroyer of Death itself
Worshipped by Lord Brahma
To that burner of poverty
I bow !
 
Bhanupriyaya bhava sagara tharanaya,
Kalanthakaya kamalasana poojithaya,
Nethra thrayaya shubha lakshana lakshithaya,
Daridrya Dukha dahanaya Nama Shivaya.

Ramapriyaya Raghu nada Vara Pradhaya,
Nagapriyaya narakarnava tharanaya,
Punyesu punya barithaya surarchithaya,
Daridrya Dukha dahanaya Nama Shivaya.

Trisandhyam ya padenithyam,
Sa hi swargamavapnyuth.
