Ode to the Imparter of Prosperity

Worlds like Swarga, Heaven
Are difficult to attain
Great Homas are done
To gain Heaven
Because of Thy Grace
Heaven is attainable
May the gracious look
Of Mother Lakshmi divine
Grace me and may I
Attain my heart's desire !

Praptam padam prathamatah khalu yat prabhavat |
Mangala bhaji madhu madhini manmadhena |
Mayya patetta diha mandhara mikshanardham
Mandalasam ca makaralaya kanyakayah ||

As rain is relased
By the clouds dark
Driven by monsoons
May Thy compassionate glance
Fall on me, O Mother
Releasing rain of Prosperity
On this humble devotee !
The rains quench the thirst
Of the bird Chataka
Similarly may my sins
Be washed away
For the dawn of Prosperity !

Dadhya ddayanu pavano dravinambudhara
Masminna kincina vihanga sisow visanne |
Duskarma gharma mapaniya ciraya duram |
Narayana pranayini nayan ambu vahah ||

To Thee who art the Goddess of Wealth
Our humble salutations !
The consort of Purusha
And the Lone Mover
The Preceptor of worlds triune
Known also as the Goddess
Of Wisdom supramundane
Also as the Deity of Valor
Who plays with the Universe
In its Creation, Preservation and Dissolution

Essta visista matayo pinarayaya drag
Drusta sthrivistapa padam sulabham bhajante |
Drustih prahrsta kamalodara diptiristam
Pustim krsista mama puskara vistarayah ||

O Vedas Personified
O Imparter of the fruits
O Karma Universal
Thou art as ravishing
As Rathi Devi, seductive
The Ocean of Beauty
Residing in the Lotus
Thousand petalled
Thou art Shakti
Consort of Siva divine
O Mother of Plenty
Accept my obeisances

Girdevatiti garuda dhvaja sundariti
Sakambhariti sasisekhara vallabheti
Srusti sthiti pralaya kelisu samsthtaya
Tasyai nama sthribhu vanaika gurostarunyai ||

O Thou who art Beauty personified
Like the blooming Lotus
To Thee my salutations
O One born from the Ocean of Milk
Along with nectar and Luna
Accept my obeisances
To Thy lotus feet !

Srutyai Namo stu subhakarma phala prasutyai

 Salutations to The
Who art seated on the Lotus Golden
The Mother of Earth, Gaia
Consort of the Transcendent
Compassionate and merciful
To all celestials and mankind !

Namo stulika nibhananayai
Namo stu dugdho dadhi janma bhumyai
Namo stu Soma mrta sodarayai
Namo stu Narayana vallabhayai ||

Salutations to Thee
O daughter of Bhrigu
Consort of the Ancient
O Mother of Earth
O Mother Divine of the celestials
Who adorn the breast of the Lord

Namo stu bhumandala nayikayai
Namo stu devadidaya parayai
Namo stu saranga yudha vallabhayai ||
