Ashtapadi X - Dheera Sameere - Ode to the Lord

O Radha there He sits
In the same cottage
Where you met Him
Radha's confidante tells her
He chants thy name
Like Mantra Therapy
He yearns secretly
To enjoy thy embrace !

O Radha quickly meet
Your beloved Krishna
Whose beauty rivals
The handsomeness of Cupid
Genlty the breeze blows
Krishna is waiting
On the banks of Yamuna
In Brindavan.

There He is playing
Calling thy  name
Indicating where
He was waiting for thee
He admires the breeze
That  passes over you
And reaches Him gently !

There the Lord sits
On a bed of tender leaves
He is excited indeed
About your arrival
He is alarmed
When a feather leaf drops !

O Radha, leave off your anklets
Lest they make noise
Go to that bower
In black dress during night
To meet the Lord of all !

Your necklaces fall on His chest
When you meet thy Lord
You shine like lightning
On His blissful chest
His love for Prakriti
For thee in thy true Nature
Is great indeed !

Are ravishing indeed !
Thou art a treasure of beauty
Lying on tender leaves
You are imparter of Bliss !

If you delay
Expect His anger
Go and fulfill
The wish of the Lord !

The poet Jayadeva
Tells this story eternal
Of Eternal Love
Between Purusha and Prakriti
Between Krishna and Radha
With devotion sublime
O devotees, bow before Him
Who is Benevolent
All Merciful, All Knowledgeable
With hearts pious and holy!
